Purple & Pearly

Dress - Ted Baker | Shoes - Office | Earrings & Bracelet - Store Twenty One

Hey Guys!

So glad I've finally got a blog post written, I've been so busy lately with work and organising Ted Bakers part of the collaboration with Benefit for the Bold Is Beautiful event at House Of Fraser next Thursday! I'm going to be at the event talking about some of our amazing new high Summer outfits and showing a collection of dresses which would be perfect wedding outfits! I've decided to give you a little sneak peak at one of the dresses, that I will be talking about, in this post!

I'm wearing Ted Baker's 'Mitton' skater dress, which also comes in baby blue! I think this is a perfect example of how Ted Baker aren't all about heavy prints because lets face it not everybody loves prints. This dress is very light weight and is definitely true to fit, the jersey neoprene material makes it very comfy so you won't need to worry about feeling bloated after eating because of its skater style. Personally I think its a beautiful shape and colour and could be worn for numerous occasions, such as meals out or even a trip to town on a sunny day, so it won't be worn once then left hanging in your wardrobe!

I've styled it with my new grey sandals from office, which are real leather and so comfortable, to give it more of a daytime look - I would also wear these to a wedding especially if its an all day one then change into heels on the night! I've also accessorised the outfit with some gorgeous affordable jewellery sent from Touchstone Accessories. The filigree bead cuff and pearl back flower earrings are a perfect match and really finish the outfit off nicely without over doing it!

The earrings are so comfortable to wear and are REVERSIBLE - which is amazing so you can wear the pearl and diamante side for an occasion then the single pearl side for more day to day wear! I love a 2-in-1 especially for £3! I'm also loving the statement cuff, especially with a nice tan, this would be a perfect accessory with a white dress on holiday for the evening! Both are available to buy from Store Twenty One.

To find out more about the Bold Is Beautiful event pop into House Of Fraser Carlisle, tickets are £10 but it all goes to two charities Refuge and Look Good Feel Better, the ticket will automatically be your raffle ticket for the evening where you can win a Benefit hamper of goodies and a Ted Baker make-up bag! There will also be a tumble, mini make-up sessions and you can browse through the Ted Baker collection!

I hope to see you there!

Lace Loving

Hey Guys!

I can officially say that I've finished uni until September - how exciting! To celebrate I had a little shopping spree to treat myself I thought it was only fair...

Lately Ted Baker have been trying to promote more of a smart casual look and I thought I would help out by sharing my latest outfit from Ted! I thought this 'Esti' tank top was absolutely beautiful as soon as I set eyes on it and for £89 I thought that was reasonable Ted prices, the lace and edge detailing gives it quite a sports luxe look. I teamed it with these amazing Ted 'Kkassy' jeans which are an amazing fit and a great colour! I also put my white New Look sandals which I thought looked really Summery and kept the cool casual look.

For the cooler days I thought it would be nice to wear a light weight blazer, this one is a one from Dorothy Perkins a couple years ago but I know Missguided and Primark sell similar coloured blazers! I also finished the outfit off with my lovely Micheal Kors bag and this fabulous 'Celaeno Collar' that I was sent from the amazing Lyra! Its a great study, well made collar and is adjustable so can be worn lower if you were wearing a scoop or V neck top. As you can see it also looks lovely with a high neck top - I can imagine it would look great with a small turtle neck too!

Have a look at the Lyra Shop collection as they have such a great range and amazingly affordable prices! Also check out the Ted Baker department in House Of Fraser as they have 20% for today and tomorrow only - you don't want to miss that!

Joggers & Heels

Hey Guys!

I'm currently delayed on a train just outside of my stop how annoying! So I decided to write my blogpost since I have this spare time! But on a lighter note... how nice is the weather lately?! It's a shame it's forecast to change in the next couple of days so I'm trying to make the most of it by looking as summery as possible!

I'm so excited cause I've almost finished second year of uni so I'm looking forward to some proper me time (apart from when I'm working) and I can get back to regular blogging! As you can imagine Im stressing out totally over deadlines but I've had one so one down two to go!

Please excuse some of the photos as the sun was not in a good place! Shouldn't complain really should I?

Since I've been stressing out I've been outfit planning in my spare time, as you do, for some celebratory drinks for when I've handed in my last project. From my recent shopping trip I managed to get a hold of some luxe joggers from Topshop which I've been wanting to try for quite a while. I actually really like them just because they're a bit different, unfortunately they don't really do my bum much justice but I love how comfy they are! I literally feel like I'm wearing pyjamas I just hope I don't look like I'm wearing them too ha! That would be bad!

I decided to style these joggers with a cute Ted Baker Cami from last Summer's collection, I didn't want to wear just a plain black cami because if I'm being different wearing the joggers I may as well go all the way and wear a patterned top, that goes obviously! I just love the colours in this and it's perfect for day or night outfits. I think cause I haven't worn it in a while I don't feel like I'm wearing uniform, thankfully!

I've finished the outfit off with these beautiful heels from River Island! I got them a couple of years ago in the sale for £20! Absolute bargain that I definitely couldn't resist! They're real leather and so comfy to walk in which is a definite bonus! Theres nothing worse than having sore feet half way through a night out! Although these heels aren't in anymore I have linked some similar ones for you to see below which are equally as nice.

I hope you guys like my outfit do let me know what you think because this is a little bit different to what I would usually wear so positive comments please! Ha!
